Abstract
Important similarities exist between the dynamical concepts implicit i n Feldman & Levin's extended lambda model and those basic to a dynamic al systems approach. We argue that careful application of the key conc epts of control and order parameters, equilibria, and stability, can r elate known facts of neuromuscular processes to the observables of fun ctional, task-specific behavior.
