A quantitative analysis of calcium, as calcium carbonate, in the shell
of Lymnaea columella infected with larval stages of Fasciola hepatica
was made. The quantity of calcium in the shell of infected snails inc
reased 111,92%, being significatively different and higher than that o
bserved in the shell of uninfected molluscs (alpha=1%).
