Abstract
The first record of Cosmocampus albirostris (Kaup, 1856) in southeaste rn Brazilian coast is herein reported. finding represents their southe rnmost known limit in weastern Atlantic. Crypticism is shown by underw ater observations of the species in natural environment. This factor a nd the lack of the studies in Brazilian coast areas like rochy shore a nd coral reefs explain the absence of record for the species in the la st century.
