PROPHYLACTIC ASPECTS OF GOATS INFECTED WI TH THE CAPRINE ENCEPHALITISARTHRITIS VIRUS IN PARANA STATE

This work was carried out to study the prophilatic value of pasteuriza tion in the Caprine Encephalitis Arthritis (AEC) in Parana State. 24 k ids were used for testing the pasteurization method. 8 kids fed with t hermically handled goat colostrum were seropositive (50%) and 4 serone gative. in view of these results it can be assumed that the thermic ha ndling of the colostrum is not a safe method to avoid the transmission of the disease.
