Abstract
This work was carried out to study the situation of the Caprine Enceph alitis Arthritis (CAE) in Parana State, Brazil. 964 animals were engag ed in the epidemiologic survey of the disease. The seropositivity in t he caprine was 6.64%, coming from 13.39% of the studied properties, wi th the largest incidence of contaminated animals in the regions of Lon drina, Maringa, Curitiba and Ponta Grossa. In view of these results ca n be assumed that the (CAE) is already presente on the caprine breedin g of Parana.
