N. Bardin et al., IDENTIFICATION OF THE S-ENDO-1 ENDOTHELIAL-ASSOCIATED ANTIGEN, Biochemical and biophysical research communications, 218(1), 1996, pp. 210-216
We have recently described a monoclonal antibody, S-Endo 1, recognizin
g a molecule constitutively expressed in all types of human endothelia
l cells. We showed that this protein around 118 kDa acid located at th
e endothelial cell-cell junction presented sequence identity with MUC1
8 described as a tumor marker in human melanoma. The difference in ant
ibodies immunoreactivity and antigen molecular weight heterogeneity ob
served between various cell types strongly suggested S-Endo 1 antigen
isoforms expression. (C) 1996 Academic Press, Inc.
