A 73-year-old patient with a past history of rectal carcinoma was foun
d to have two sessile villous adenomas of the cecum. Because he refuse
d surgical resection, a course of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug
therapy using piroxicam was given, and the villous adenomas regressed
within three months. The cecum has remained clear at one year.
