Zc. Lin et Vh. Lin, ANALYSIS OF THE VARIATION OF THE COLD-ROLLING CHARACTERISTICS OF ROLLING FORCE, STRIP SHAPE, STRESS AND TEMPERATURE, FOR A 3-DIMENSIONAL STRIP, Journal of materials processing technology, 54(1-4), 1995, pp. 326-340
The purpose of this study is to develop a three-dimensional thermoelas
tic-plastic finite-element model coupled with a three-dimensional heat
-transfer finite-difference model under the assumption of rigid work r
olls, during the rolling of an aluminium strip. At the same time, nume
rical-analytical methods are used to simulate the production process o
f cold rolling. In respect of cold rolling, this study aims to explore
phenomena that can not be understood by means of two-dimensional simu
lation, such as the shape changes, the force distribution, and the dis
tribution of the stress and temperature on both surfaces of a three-di
mensional strip. Further, the shape changes and the plastic flow of th
e material on both sides of the strip in cold rolling are studied.
