Abstract
A new design of converter bricklaying work was developed jointly betwe en Sollac and Veitsch to enhance the performance of the bottom and the lower conus at Sollac Dunkerque. The first results are very encouragi ng with a very regular wear rate of less than 0.25 mm/heat in the zone s away from the porous plug area.
