Abstract
A static acute toxicity test was performed to determine the LC(50) val ue of chlorpyrifos for the freshwater catfish, Heteropneustes fossilis . The slope function and the upper and lower confidence limits were co mputed. The LC(50) values for 24,48,72 and 96 h are 5.60, 3.35, 2.60 a nd 2.20 mg/l respectively.
