J. Garin et al., ELECTRON-IMPACT IONIZATION-INDUCED FRAGMENTATION OF URACIL-FUSED TETRATHIAFULVALENES, Rapid communications in mass spectrometry, 10(1), 1996, pp. 16-20
The 70 eV electron ionization mass spectra of uracil-fused tetrathiafu
lvalenes have been studied by accurate mass measurement, metastable io
n analysis and collision-induced dissociation. Changes in the structur
e of substituents, both in the tetrathiafulvalene moiety and on the N1
atom of uracil, cause important differences in the fragmentation sche
me. The position of alkyl substituents in the uracil ring unambiguousl
y confirmed.
