Abstract
The hyperpower method is generalized by inseting an idempotent matrix
P. It is shown that most of the iterations that can be used for comput
ing generalized inverses can be recast in this form by suitable choice
of the idempotent, the limit, or the initial values. The convergence
behavior of B-qk is analyzed and the results are applied to give a det
ailed investigation of this iteration.
