Abstract
Distributions of the current and the surface fields close to the corne rs of a conducting strip with rectangular cross-section are investigat ed by an accurate and efficient moment method. The strip is made of ei ther a normal conductor or a superconducting material. Based upon this study, a simple graphical procedure for a rough estimation of the fin ite maxima of the current densities at the edges (corners) is presente d.
