A one-point feed printed crossed dipole with a reflector antenna combi
ned with a reactively loaded parasitic loop is proposed. The parasitic
loop contributes mainly to the improvement of the antenna gain, and t
he reactive loads contribute mainly to the improvement of the frequenc
y response of axial ratio. Using the proposed antenna, a 4-element pri
nted array antenna is constructed for land mobile satellite communicat
ions to obtain highly efficient, compact, light weight array antenna.
