Abstract
Cyclization of diols with ammonia in an Hz atmosphere over an industri al CuO-ZnO-Al2O3 catalyst for the synthesis of methanol (SNM-1) gives nitrogen-containing five-, six-, or seven-membered heterocyclic compou nds. The yields of cyclic amines in the 180-230 degrees C temperature range are 46 to 97 %.
