Abstract
NO absorption on Rh(111) surface has been studied by scanning tunnel m icroscopy. NO molecules were observed when coadsorbed with oxygen or n itrogen atoms. NO molecules were found to form ordered islands with (4 x4) symmetry. Coadsorption of NO and oxygen or nitrogen atoms shows co mpetitive behavior on Rh(111). (C) 1996 American Institute of Physics.
