NO absorption on Rh(111) surface has been studied by scanning tunnel m
icroscopy. NO molecules were observed when coadsorbed with oxygen or n
itrogen atoms. NO molecules were found to form ordered islands with (4
x4) symmetry. Coadsorption of NO and oxygen or nitrogen atoms shows co
