The Central Chukotka gold-bearing region is characterized by the devel
opment of gold ore deposits of different genetic types. Two gold distr
icts - Kuul'sk and Ichuveem-Palyavaamsk - are distinctly distinguished
here. They vary in geological structure and metallogeny. Gold quartz
deposits (Sovinoe, Dor, and Kus'veemsk) are localized in the Kuul'sk d
istrict in horst-anticlinal uplifts composed of the Paleozoic terrigen
ous rocks. The Ichuveem-Palyavaamsk district is distinguished by a wid
e spectrum of gold mineralization from impregnated gold sulfide with t
he well-known large Maiskoe deposit to gold-silver epithermal Promezhu
tochnoe deposit. The Palyangai deposit, which is composed of gold-rare
metal mineralization, was also discovered here. The Mesozoic intrusiv
e cupola structures, associated with the Mesozoic tectono-magmatic act
ivization (TMA), play an important role in the localization of these d
eposits. The geological structure of deposits and the composition of o
res are described in this paper. The characteristic mineralogical and
geochemical features of deposits and the thermobarogeochemical paramet
ers of the ore-forming processes are specified here for some of them.
