Abstract
Condensations of 1,4-bis(4-aminophenoxy)butane Ia and its N,N'-dimethy l derivative Ib with substituted diethyl malonates gave -hydroxy-2-oxo -1,2-dihydroquinolin-6-yloxy)butanes IIa-IIf. From these compounds, 4- dioxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinolin-6-yloxy)butanes IIIa-IIIg and 4-dioxo -1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinolin-6-yloxy)butanes IIIh-IIIm were prepared.
