Abstract
Lithiated tert-butyldimethylsilylamine reacts with trifluorophenylsila ne in a molar ratio 2:1 or 3:1 to give the bis- and tris(silylamino)si lanes 1 [(Me(3)CSiMe(2)NH)(2)SiFPh] and 2 [(Me(3)CSiMe(2)NH)(3)SiPh]. The trilithium derivative 3 [Me(3)CSiMe(2)NLi(thf)](3)SiPh is obtained in the reaction of 2 with n-BuLi in hexane/thf. 3 crystallizes as a m onomer forming three planar four-membered (LiNSiN)-rings. The results of the crystal structure of 3 are discussed.
