Abstract
Parents of children with severe learning difficulties attended an even ing of general information on how physical and mental changes of puber ty would affect their sons and daughters. Several expressed concern ov er their daughters' inability, to cope with menstruation. After dice c ounselling, nine girls were given Depo-Provera, with beneficial effect s on their periods, behaviour and family harmony.
