Abstract
We have developed an asymptotically correct basis for the analysis of a class of short-range potentials. This basis provides accurate repres entations for the eigenfunctions and eigenvalues for the Yukawa, expon ential-cosine, and Hulthen potentials. These results, along with the s trong-coupling expansion for the energy, provide guide-lines for const ructing simple interpolation formulae for the eigenvalues.
