Vi. Azarov, FORMAL APPROACH TO THE SOLUTION OF THE COMPLEX-SPECTRA IDENTIFICATIONPROBLEM .2. IMPLEMENTATION, Physica scripta. T, 48(6), 1993, pp. 656-667
The second part of a work devoted to a method of automation of the spe
ctra identification process is presented. Important aspects of the pro
blem concerning description and specification of uncertainties and cor
relations of the data and making use of some additional restraints and
routines are discussed. Great possibilities of the developed method b
oth (i) for analyzing spectra using ab initio calculations of energy l
evels for the configurations of one parity and known other-parity conf
igurations and (ii) for analyzing spectra using semi-empirical calcula
tions of energy levels with extrapolated parameters for the configurat
ions of both parities, are shown. A method of displaying and handling
the data and restraints of the problem is presented It allows the phys
icist to solve the problem in some cases using only the display.
