Abstract
Ophthalmic inserts (denominated mini-tablets, MT) for sustained releas e of timolol were prepared by a standard compression and coating techn ique. An adequate control of the in vitro drug release from the device s could be obtained by adjusting the type and amount of acrylic polyme r coating.
