Abstract
The aim of experiments was to detect changes in L-phenylalanine ammoni a-lyase and ionically-bound peroxidase activities in Trifolium pratens e varieties showing different levels of resistance to bean yellow mosa ic virus (BYMV) and Fusarium oxysporum (FO). The results confirmed the theory on the importance of the activation of enzyme system in condit ion of biotic stress. The increase in PAL and peroxidases activity and faster changes in activity by resistant variety Vulkan in comparison with less resistant variety Kvarta were detected (Figs 2, 3). Results of enzymes activation correlated with phytopathological evaluation of resistance level of tested varieties (Fig. 1).
