New complex perovskite-type dielectric materials, (Pb1-xBax) (In0.5Ta0
.5)O3 (PBIT) and (Pb1-xBax)(In0.5Nb0.5)O3 (PBIN) have been successfull
y synthesized using a rapid thermal sintering process. These new compl
ex perovskite materials show relaxor-type dielectric properties, and t
he temperature at which the real part of the permittivity shows a broa
d maximum is shifted towards lower temperature by the substitution of
BA ions for A-site Pb ions.
