Hs. Paul et Vk. Nelson, FLEXURAL VIBRATION OF PIEZOELECTRIC COMPOSITE HOLLOW CYLINDER, The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 99(1), 1996, pp. 309-313
The free vibration of a laminated hollow circular cylinder with tracti
on-free surfaces is studied by taking care of continuity conditions at
the interfaces. The frequency equations are obtained for the composit
e cylinder composed of two different piezoelectric materials belonging
to the 6mm class and a hypothetical linear elastic material with void
s (LEMV) as bonding layers. Numerical results for complex-valued frequ
ency are carried out for the composite cylinder ceramic-1/LEMV/ceramic
-2. The dispersion curves for the flexural vibration of a composite ho
llow cylinder with voids and without voids are obtained and are compar
ed with that of a hollow cylinder of piezoelectric material. (C) 1996
