F. Bruinsma, IMMEDIATE ASSESSMENT OF ADOLESCENT SEX OFFENDERS SEEN AT THE POLICE STATION, International journal of offender therapy and comparative criminology, 39(4), 1995, pp. 307-316
Every juvenile sex offender is seen on the day of detention at the pol
ice station. This project is based on the assumption that early interv
ention may prevent male juvenile sex offenders from developing into se
xually abusive men. Assessment of the offense, diagnosis, and treatmen
t of the juvenile have proven to be helpful. The project occurred at U
trecht, The Netherlands.y
