Abstract
Raman spectra of KDP, taken at a temperature near the paraelectric-fer roelectric transition and submitted to a uniaxial stress show two new phase transitions. The change of symmetry of the ion units due to thes e transitions is related to the spectroscopic results. The reversibili ty of the transitions when temperature and pressure are cycled around the transition lines is discussed.
