Abstract
The procedure for deriving interatomic potentials for molecular ionic materials, using empirical fitting procedures, is described. Potential s are obtained for carbonates, phosphates and perchlorates, and used t o calculate crystal and lattice properties which are compared with ava ilable experimental data.
