Ts. Lobana et Bhatia Pvk",dolly, ORGANOPHOSPHORUS REAGENTS AS EXTRACTANTS .7. LIQUID-LIQUID-EXTRACTIONOF SILVER(I) AND MERCURY(II) USING TERTIARY PHOSPHINE CHALCOGENIDES, Indian journal of chemistry. Sect. A: Inorganic, physical, theoretical & analytical, 35(2), 1996, pp. 158-159
Using the tertiary phosphine chalcogenides, triphenylphosphine oxide(P
h(3)PO), triphenylphosphine sulphide(Ph(3)PS) and 1,2-bis(diphenylphos
phinyl)-ethane(dpeO(2)), silver(I) and mercury(II), have been extracte
d from their binary mixtures with the di- and tri-valent metal ions, C
r(III), Mn(II), Fe(III), Co(ZI), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), Sn(II
), Pb(II), Mg(II) and AI(III). With Ph(3)PO and dpeO(2), Fe(III), Cu(I
I) and Zn(II) interfere in the extraction of Ag(I) and Hg(II); however
, there is no interference with Ph(3)PS. Ag(I) interferes in the extra
ction of Hg(II) with all the reagents.
