Abstract
Wide-scale introduction of EOR methods has been normally hampered by n onavailability of necessary chemical agents domestically. SibNIINP, a Siberian oil and gas R&D institute, has proposed an alternative option of using by-products obtained at chemical plants to improve oil recov ery. AO Yuganskneftegaz performed between 1992 and 1993 wide-scale fie ld testing of these products and found high technology efficiency.
