One of the main problems of reservoir engineering is uncertainties in
geologic parameters. Evaluation of influence of geologic data' uncerta
inties to the final technologic parameters is an actual problem. This
article describes a new mathematical approach - fuzzy mathematics whic
h deals with ''fuzziness'' of numbers and intervals. It is shown that
even 1% uncertainty in geologic parameters is a very critical for fina
l estimation of oil recovery factor. Given are fuzzy phase permeabilit
ies, Buckley-Leverett' function and its derivative for 1, 5 and 10% un
certainty in geologic parameters.
