Abstract
[(n-Bu)(4)N][RuNCl4] reacts with 2,5-dimethyl-2,5-hexanediamine (L) in acetone to give a cationic dimeric Ru-VI=N complex [(Ru-VI(L)(2)N)(2) (mu-O)]Cl-4 (1). The X-ray crystal structure of 1 . H2O has been deter mined. The structure of 1 shows two Ru=N units bridged by a mu-oxo lig and. The Ru=N and Ru-O bond distances are 1.66(1) and 1.9896(8) Angstr om, respectively.
