A. Tzes et K. Le, APPLICATION OF FREQUENCY-DOMAIN ADAPTIVE INFINITE IMPULSE-RESPONSE FILTERING FOR IDENTIFICATION OF FLEXIBLE STRUCTURE DYNAMICS, Mechanical systems and signal processing, 10(1), 1996, pp. 65-91
The identification problem of transfer functions associated with flexi
ble structures is addressed in this paper. An adaptive infinite impuls
e response filter with data preprocessing in the frequency domain is u
sed to identify directly the poles of the transfer function and the co
efficients of the numerator polynomial. The parallel form realisation
is utilised to model the structure of the identified transfer function
. The stability of the identified system can easily be monitored and t
he sensitivity of its coefficients is lower compared to that of the cl
assical direct form. Simulation studies are used to illustrate the pro
posed algorithm. (C) 1996 Academic Press Limited
