Abstract
The crystal structure of 6,6'-dimethoxy-2,2'-diphenyl-19-crown-5 Hg(SC N)(2) has been determined from three-dimensional X-ray diffraction dat a. The compound crystallizes in the triclinic space group pi (no 2) wi th unit cell parameters a = 9.712(6) Angstrom, b = 11.137(7) Angstrom, c = 14.768(12) Angstrom, alpha = 86.04(5), beta = 80.36(4), gamma = 6 5.70(4), Z = 2, V = 1435(2) Angstrom(3). The structure was determined by direct methods which on refinement yielded a final value of R(F) in dex as 0.068.
