Abstract
It is feasible to produce ethanol by continuous fermentation of molass es-stillage medium, without any supplementation, employing calcium alg inate immobilized cells of Saccharomyces cerevisiae. High flow rates g enerated high values for the productivity; however, the percent substr ate conversion decreases with the dilution rate.
