P. Kalman et T. Brabec, EVOLUTION OF COHERENT HARD-X-RAY RADIATION GENERATED IN CRYSTALLINE SOLIDS BY HIGH-INTENSITY FEMTOSECOND LASER-PULSES, Physical review. A, 53(1), 1996, pp. 627-629
Recently [Phys. Rev. A 52, R21 (1995)] a process for coherent hard-x-r
ay generation in crystalline solids was suggested by us. In the curren
t work the theoretical treatment of this process is formulated in the
language of nonlinear optics. An approximate solution of the coupled S
chrodinger and Maxwell equations is presented that governs the creatio
n and the evolution of the x-ray field. The theory generalizes our pre
vious study by providing a description of the pulse evolution and of t
he temporal shape of the x-ray pulse.
