The electrical conduction of compacted polycrystalline pellets of liss
amine green B dye at different temperatures is reported. The nature of
distribution of traps has been studied to understand the current volt
age relationship and the space charge limited currents (SCLC) to be ob
served in the dye. Three distinct regions of voltage current character
istics have been found in the material. The analysis of these characte
ristics leads to the understanding of non-uniform distribution of deep
as well as shallow traps.
