Abstract
The CD40L molecule expressed by CD4(+) regulatory T lymphocytes is kno wn to deliver signals that activate B cells and macrophages. It now ap pears that CD40L regulates T cells themselves, during both their devel opment and their participation in adaptive immune responses.
