In this article we present a comparison of resonant converters operati
ng above the resonant frequency of the oscillating circuit. The conver
ters under consideration are the two basic structures (the series reso
nant converter and the parallel resonant converter) as well as the ser
ies parallel resonant converter with capacitive filter. For each of th
ese structures, the state equations of each operating sequence are for
mulated and theoretical and experimental results are presented for com
parison. We conclude by outlining a 1-kW module for each structure.
