We have calculated the spectrum of diffuse radiation in the energy reg
ion 0.1 KeV to 500 MeV, which arises from the decay of antiprotons in
the Symmetric Universe. Among the few features noticed in this calcula
ted spectrum, the cut-off above 450 MeV is the most important one. If
this feature is identified in the future observations as an 'edge' in
the diffuse spectrum, it will provide the evidence for the Symmetric U
niverse. It will also allow the determination of the life time of anti
protons and provide the first evidence for CPT violation. From a compa
rison with the available data, we estimate the partial life time of an
antiproton as > 3 x 10(24) s, if We live in a symmetric universe. Thi
s limit is 17 orders of magnitude better than that obtained from direc
t experiments and is about 16 orders of magnitude smaller than the lim
it set for protons.
