Abstract
A new polymorphism has been identified in the 3'-untranslated region o f the gene for GAP43. It is present with a frequency of 0.327 in the C entre d'Etude du Polymorphisme Humaine (CEPH) parents and is slightly lower in Alzheimer's (0.269) and Parkinson's (0.231) patients.
