Abstract
Children with shunted hydrocephalus of differing etiologies were asses sed. There was a more selective loss of non-verbal than of verbal inte lligence. The verbal and visuo-perceptual abilities were affected by d ifferent sets of variables. Variables related to the hydrocephalus had no effects, while associated supratentorial malformations significant ly affected nonverbal functions.
