Simple analytic expressions for inclusive cross sections for interacti
ons between neutron-rich nuclei and target nuclei are obtained in the
eikonal approximation on the basis of the coupled-channel optical mode
l. These expressions are used to estimate the ratio of the cross secti
on for the Coulomb dissociation of such nuclei channeling through a cr
ystalline target to the cross section for ordinary Coulomb dissociatio
n. It is shown that, under the conditions of channeling, the cross sec
tion for incoherent Coulomb excitation, which usually amounts to sever
al barns, decreases by a factor that ranges between 10 and 100.
