DIELECTRIC METHODS IN STUDIES OF ADSORPTION ON SOLIDS AND OF MULTIPHASE SYSTEMS

Short review of dielectric methods in studies of adsorption on solid s urfaces and of inhomogeneous and multiphase systems is presented. All the dielectric phenomena occuring in inhomogeneous and multiphase syst ems may be divided into the interphase phenomena and the interfacial p henomena. The discussion of the two groups of phenomena is presented w ith a special reference to low-weight organic solids and to ageing of polymer composites. The low-frequency dielectric measurements proves t o be a very useful method of investigation of inhomogeneous and multip hase dielectrics.
