Abstract
Cinnamonitriles Ia-c was reacted with propiophenone to give pyranes 2a ,b and pyridone 7 respectively . Aminopyridine 4 was obtained from 2a and transformed into pyridopyrimidines 6a,b. Chlorination and acetylat ion of 7 was also reported.
