C-13, N-14 and N-15 NMR chemical shifts are reported for a mesoionic t
hiatriazole. The C-13 and N-15 signal assignments are reported using H
-1 coupling data, chemical shift additivity rules and ab initio GIAO c
alculations. Measured chemical shifts are compared with calculated shi
elding constants for cis and trans isomers. N-14 NMR line width measur
ements and theoretical calculations are employed in order to demonstra
te the charge distribution in the molecule.
