Abstract
The oxidation of hexacyanoferrate(II) by perborate or hydrogen peroxid e in the pH range 4.7-7.0 is first order in hexacyanoferrate and is ac id catalyzed. The oxidation exhibits Michaelis-Menten dependence oil p erborate or hydrogen peroxide. Kinetic results provide evidence for co mplex formation between hydrogen peroxide and HFe(CN)(6)(3-).
