Lm. Vasilyak et al., AN EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF THE ELECTRODYNAMIC AND SPECTRAL CHARACTERISTICS OF A NANOSECOND PULSE-PERIODIC DISCHARGE IN CHLORINE, High temperature, 33(6), 1995, pp. 822-828
The results of experimental investigations of electric breakdown in a
discharge tube 102 cm long are given. The discharge tube is filled wit
h chlorine that is acted upon by nanosecond voltage pulses with the am
plitude of 15 kV and frequency of 1.2 kHz. The discharge emission spec
trum is measured in the wavelength range from 200 to 800 nm. The depen
dences of the energy contribution to gas and of the spectral line inte
nsity on the chlorine pressure in the 10 - 1600 Pa range are derived.
