The paper describes the results of measurements of spectral radiation
of the disintegration products of indicator layers by optoelectronic m
ethods. The indicator layers, coating the surface of conical models an
d prepared on the basis of alkali-metal salts, disintegrate under cond
itions of supersonic now of ionized air about the models. The measurem
ent scheme is given and theoretical analysis performed of the measurem
ent results. Based on the method of ''growth curves'' for radiation in
tensity, a method is proposed for determining the temperature and conc
entration of alkali-metal vapors in the wail layer of plasma.
